HOW THE LEDGER WORKS

DATA

Prices refresh every 10s from api.hypixel.net/v2/skyblock/bazaar. Hypixel caches this feed for ~10 seconds, so polling faster returns identical data. Charts, trends, stability tags and NEW badges build from points collected while the page is open — give it a minute or two to warm up. History for your favorites, pinned, and recently-viewed items is saved locally (one point per minute, up to 24h), so their charts stay populated when you reopen the tab. Other items rebuild fresh each visit.

FLIP MATH

Order flip: place a buy order at the top buy-order price, then a sell offer at the top sell-offer price. All profits shown are after the 1.25% bazaar tax. Insta-arb hunts rare crossed markets where instabuy is briefly below instasell.

METRICS

Coins/hr = profit × hourly volume (weekly ÷ 168, limited by the slower side) — a theoretical ceiling, not a promise. Queue = items ahead of you at the top order price (outbid by 0.1 to skip it). Score blends coins/hr (35%), margin (25%), volume (25%) and spread stability (15%) into 0–100. Budget columns and the optimizer cap quantities at one day of traded volume.

GAME DATA

Craft recipes, forge recipes and minion action times come from the NotEnoughUpdates community repo, priced live against the bazaar. The Events tab computes the deterministic SkyBlock calendar (1 day = 20 real minutes) — no API needed. Calculator rates are editable so you can match your own stats.

BACKEND

When the Supabase backend is deployed, the site gains: server-collected price history — 3 days of 5-minute detail for every item, a full 7 days for items anyone has favorited, pinned, or watchlisted, and daily candles kept forever, cross-device sync of favorites/pins/alerts/sessions, and player stat lookups via a server-side Hypixel API key. Without it, everything still works using your browser’s local storage.
